God, the Father Almighty

In life and in death we belong to God. Through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,  the love of God,  and the communion of the Holy Spirit, we trust in the one triune God, the Sovereign Holy One of Israel, whom alone we worship and serve.

 Jesus

Fully God, fully human, we believe that Jesus is as alive today as he was on the first Easter morning and that he is present with us today. We call Jesus "Lord" because he has saved us from the power of death and the power of sin and because, through his sacrifice, we are able to know the fullness of God's love for us.

 The Holy Spirit

We trust in God the Holy Spirit, everywhere the giver and renewer of life. In a broken and fearful world, the Spirit gives us courage to pray without ceasing, to witness among all peoples to Christ as Lord and Savior,  to unmask idolatries in church and culture,  to hear the voices of peoples long silenced,  and to work with others for justice, freedom, and peace.

 The Bible

The Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are, by the power of the Holy Spirit, the unique and authoritative witness to Jesus Christ in the Church universal, and God's Word to us.  The Bible is the means by which Christian believers come to understand how God has been present with humanity since the beginning of time and is present in our world today.

 Salvation

God has always been faithful to the people of Israel and to the church. Presbyterians believe God has offered us salvation because of God's loving nature. It is not a right or a privilege to be earned by being "good enough." No one of us is good enough on our own--we are all dependent upon God's goodness and mercy.
